The nautical and shipbuilding industry represents the most advanced and internationally connected cluster in the Olbia district. Within the CIPNES area, 80 specialised companies operate in yacht construction, refitting, marine technology, and supply services, making it the largest industrial sector managed by the Consortium.

CIPNES has dedicated the entire coastal section of its development area to maritime activities, creating a modern ecosystem that links shipyards, service firms, and technology providers. The goal is to consolidate Sardinia’s position as a Mediterranean centre of excellence for luxury yachting and maritime innovation.

According to the CIPNES–UniOlbia 2024 study, Gallura ranks among the top Mediterranean destinations for superyacht arrivals, confirming the region’s dual identity as both a tourism and industrial powerhouse.
This symbiosis between craftsmanship, infrastructure, and international clientele strengthens Sardinia’s role in the global nautical economy.
